Mr. Sones is a Registered Professional Engineer with over 35 years of professional oil and gas experience. He is currently working thru PPI Technology Services as an Engineering and Operations Consultant, as well as an investing partner and operations supervisor for PPI’s Managed Risk Company. He graduated from Texas A&M with a BS in Structural Civil Engineering, and started his professional career in 1976 with ARCO in Midland and Houston. Mr. Sones moved to Anadarko in 1980 and by 1990 was Domestic Drilling Manager responsible for drilling, completions, and workovers for the onshore and offshore Gulf of Mexico, Wyoming, New Mexico, Nevada, Alabama and Arkansas. In 1998, he moved to ADTI (Applied Drilling Technology Inc) as Operations Manager responsible for drilling and completion turnkeys in over 900 wells in the Gulf of Mexico offshore. He started a turnkey division for Schlumberger in 2004, and in 2005 joined in PPI Managed Risk (a privately held turnkey drilling and completion company).
